Good Thursday Morning

Good morning Diane and California,

You should have called me at 1:30 this morning.  I was up.  Between allergies and my hip, sleep seems to be eluding me.  I'm so tired I could just lay down and take a nap, but I'm sure if I did that, I wouldn't sleep anyway.  A friend gave me a couple of sleeping pills to try, which I haven't yet because I'm afraid to do them on a work night.  Not knowing how I'll react to them, I can't afford to sleep through getting up in the morning.  I have to go to work this week.

Here is hoping that next week in MA at the beach house will be just the amount of relaxtion I need and I'll get some wonderful sleep.  I'm thinking a lounge chair on the deck with a nice cozy blanket and the sun shining and I'll sleep for the entire week we are there.  It's been on the chilly side up there this week.  Highs only reaching the 60's.  Of course this time of year back east is so unpredictable.  It can be 40 one day and the next be 80.  Unfortunately, the water temperatures will just be way too cold for us to think about a dip in the ocean, but I'll at least put my toes in the surf and smell the fresh sea air.  I am truly looking forward to this vacation.

Tonight bowling league starts up again.  I'm hoping I'll be able to bowl but I'm just not sure how my hip will cooperate.  I'm going to try it and see.  Guess that's all I can do.

OK, time to get busy here.  I have much to accomplish before the end of work tomorrow.  Everyone have a great day and remember, do something wonderful just for yourself.

As a professional recliner sleeper, why dont you try it if you have one.  It really will help calm down the pain in a couple of days.  Take an anti inflamatory too, see if that will cut down on some of that.  I know, it hurts like hell.  When I got back from laying in that damn hospital bed, my hip hurt worse than the surgerical scar.

I will prayer you feel better!

Recliner is a good idea.  When you are done with yours you can give it to me.  LOL  But no, we don't have a recliner.  And then there is the fact that when I'm not in bed at night, my snuggle bum comes looking for me.  It could be 100 friggen degrees in that house and he's wrapped around me like a security blanket.  He's so cute, I could throw up.

I've been taking some advil in the morning to try to help me through the day.  Sitting all day at my desk is awful.  I'm definitely not looking forward to 6 hours on a plane.  Fortunately we are flying late at night, so I'm taking a vicodin and planning on hopefully sleeping on the plane.  Maybe a vicodin and an antihistimine will do the trick.

I just don't know how you dealt with all that back pain of yours, not to mention your shoulder and knees.  Sometimes my hip is so bad I just want to scream.  Oh well, getting older sucks, but not getting older sucks worse.

We must plan to see you when we get back from MA.  Maybe you'll feel up to a dinner out or that coffee we've talked about.

Love ya too,
Steph

Thank you Diane, I am so looking forward to taking my seat on that losers bench so make room for my big butt.  Of course it will be getting smaller and smaller.  I am sorry that you have problems sleeping, hopefully as you heal that will get better.  I hate it when I can't sleep.  I tend to get depressed when I don't get enough sleep.  I know you will be so happy when you can get ride of that brace and have freedom again.

See what am I doing today, since I am feeling better I guess that means back to housework.  I am going to try and get all dolled up and take some pictures for my before picture to post.  I have been saying that for a couple of weeks and keep putting it off.  I guess I need to get to since my surgery is next week.

Good wishes to Barb.  We are still holding you up, Stephanie, I have never been to Boston, I would love to go one day.  I would love to go in the fall and see all of the leaves turning colors.  Have fun.

I hope everyone else has a great day!

Thanks for the good wishes Elizabeth.  Yes, New England in the fall is quite something to see.  We are actually going to be a couple weeks early for the complete fall folliage, but with the cooler weather that has been up there, we might get to see some.  The beach house is right on the MA, NH border so we are northern MA and should see a bit more then they will down in southern MA.  At least I'm hoping we will.  Fall was always my very favorite season.  After hot and humid summers, just feeling the crispness of the air was always invigorating to me.  I am so looking forward to it.

Have a great day,
Stephanie

Good Morning Diane and Cali Friends,

Diane, I sure hope you catch some more zzz's today!  But, it does sound like each day is getting better.

Sorry I posted so late about the interview.  When I got home, of course Ron and my mother-in-law were there so I had to tell them all about it.  We then were off to Costco to shop before closing and came home to put all of that away. Then we had to sit down to dinner.  So time just slipped away.  I'm not much into texting, so that's not an option!  But, we'll wait until Tuesday and hope for the best.  I will be writing thank you e-mails to the 4 panelists today, so that should put the exclaimation mark at the end of the sentence.

Today brings nothing planned, other than band rehearsal tonight, thank goodness.

I hope everyone has a great day and remember the long weekend is just a day away.

Hugs,
Barb

Good Morning Diane & Cali Friends,

Thank goodness it's Thursday! What a looooonngg week. I have been so busy with classes & work. I can't wait til this semester is over! Hopefully, Friday will be here in no time! Today brings me at work til 4:30pm then it's off to class. Since school started my eating schedule is been really weird. I get off of work at 4:30 and my class starts at 6pm til 7:40, then I get home around 8:15, I have found it really hard to control the unnecessary munching. Eating on my scheduled times is out the window. I need to make up a plan that will allow me to fit in propper meals & exercise. Since, I get up early every morning for work & usually I am up late doing sometype of homework, exercising has been none existant. Which, I can tell my the numbers on that darn scale. So, today I have started using the "Health Tracker" in the My OH and it's going good so far. I am determined to eat fewer calories while getting more exercise.

I hope everyone had a great day!

Hi Diane and All,

Today is just me attempting to get through it in my tired fog of probably  having anemia.  I go for a blood test tomorrow to find out. I hope I feel better soon. I haven't exercised in almost two weeks because I feel light headed and tired.  My weight is stuck, but I am not going up!!  I've had some tossing my cookies episodes this week too because my veggies didn't agree with me.

I think I'll plan a San Francisco weekend with my husband today. We have tickets to Beach Blanket Babylon that I need to use by the end of October.  Sometimes I think I should be a travel agent because I love planning trips.

I am glad it's almost Friday.  I once again don't have set plans for the upcoming three day weekend so I'll probably help my mom out with her shopping and chores, maybe book a facial, go swimming at the gym, and maybe a few hours at the beach.

Take care all!
